You have questions …

Should I book a Makeup Artist?

It is highly recommended if you are a female. Booking a professional Makeup Artist can help you better achieve the look you are going for, reduce shine, and even address blemishes.

If you don’t wear makeup for health, religious, or other reasons you can book a consultation with one of the recommended makeup artists to find what would be ideal for your skin.

What should I wear?

The purpose of your photoshoot and theme or concept will help to dictate what is ideal to wear. It will also give inspiration for what props can be used, how your hair should be styled, and the look of your makeup.

Once you’ve decided on the theme or concept go through your closet and see if you have anything that works. You can also borrow pieces from family or friends, rent from a costume store, or partner with a local designer; giving them permission to use the photos for marketing.

Where should I do the photoshoot?

You can do the photoshoot anywhere you like as long as no laws are broken. Ideally, you want to do it somewhere that works with your concept and doesn’t blow your budget.

Most places require that you pay a fee to use the property, even if it’s accessible to the public. To save money you can ask family or friends if you can use their space for $0.

If the location is outdoor take into consideration the time of year and check the weather forecast.
